Cross-Country Advocacy Priorities
South Sudan and Somalia have SIGNED but NOT RATIFIED the AU Youth Charter. This is a concrete advocacy target for AUNYD delegates in both countries. Ratification campaigns should be included in the AUNYD working group agenda for these two countries.
None of the 5 countries have a fully implemented national YPS action plan aligned to UNSCR 2250 and the AU CFYPS. The AU CFYPS 2025 midterm review is a window to push for national action plans across all AUNYD countries.
