Terms of Use
The ground rules for using the toolkit, and what you can expect from us.
Last updated 3 November 2026
About these terms
These terms cover your use of the AUNYD Youth Policy and Advocacy Toolkit. By using the toolkit you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the toolkit is
The toolkit brings together plain-language guides to UN, AU and EU youth policy frameworks, practical templates, country pages and a public dashboard of submitted activity and scorecard data.
It is an information and advocacy resource, not legal advice. Summaries of policies and frameworks describe public commitments and can fall behind official updates. Always check the original document before relying on a detail in a submission or a meeting.
Using the toolkit
- Use it for lawful advocacy, learning and collaboration.
- Give accurate information in forms and scorecards, and do not submit reports on behalf of people who have not agreed.
- Do not impersonate another person, organisation or government.
- Do not harass other participants, post hateful content, or share another person’s private information.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or scrape the site, or use it to send unsolicited bulk messages.
What you submit
You keep ownership of the content you send us. By submitting it you give AUNYD permission to display it on the toolkit, to include it in aggregated reporting, and to contact you about your request.
You confirm that you have the right to share what you submit, including photos of other people. We may edit, decline or remove content that breaks these terms or that we cannot verify.
Accuracy of the dashboard
Dashboard figures come from submissions made by delegates, civil society organisations and government focal points. We do not audit every entry. Read the numbers as reported practice, and confirm against official sources before quoting them in policy work.
Links to other sites
The toolkit links to African Union, United Nations, EU, government, partner and news websites, and to Google Forms, Docs and Sheets. Those sites are run by other organisations, have their own terms, and can be changed or taken offline without notice.
Our content
The templates, checklists and guides are free to download, adapt and use for non-commercial youth advocacy, with credit to AUNYD. The AUNYD name and logo, and partner logos, belong to their owners and may not be used to suggest endorsement.
Availability
We work to keep the toolkit online and accurate, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. Features may change, and scheduled syncs from source spreadsheets may be delayed.
Liability
The toolkit is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, AUNYD is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of the information here, or for any loss arising from use of the site or of a linked third-party service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the toolkit grows. The date at the top of the page shows the current version.
